Chef Kelly Gates’ passion, creativity, and love of local ingredients is transforming our kitchen and inspiring every plate that leaves it.

Chef Kelly discovered her passion for cooking at age 10, inspired by the warmth and tradition of her grandmother’s holiday meals. That early love of food led her to pursue a culinary career. She began working at age 20 as a line and banquet prep cook. Later, her talent and dedication quickly elevated her to the role of Sous Chef and then Executive Chef at Café Magnolia in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Eager to grow her skills in a larger and more dynamic kitchen, Chef Kelly joined Hotel Gettysburg and One Lincoln. She served as Sous Chef before becoming Executive Chef, a role she’s held proudly for four years. Known for her creativity and precision with seafood, she brings passion, comfort, and bold flavor to every dish she creates.

The region’s bounty served as the inspiration for this summer’s menu. Each dish reflecting Chef Kelly’s commitment to showcasing the freshest local ingredients at their seasonal peak. She incorporates these local finds into One Lincoln’s menu through her weekly “Chef’s Cut” feature. Here, she spotlights nearby farms and celebrates Adam’s County’s agricultural roots. At home, she enjoys cooking simple favorites like fresh local summer corn on the cob; a reminder that great food begins with great ingredients.

Chef Kelly leads the One Lincoln culinary team with heart, vision, and a deep commitment to both innovation and community. Her passion for showcasing local ingredients and crafting memorable dining experiences shines through in every dish.
